The Curry of Life with The CHOYA Golden Ume Fruit

Need a way to take your curry to the next level? Try this Curry of Life recipe inspired by Naruto and brought to life through the collaboration of CHOYA and @kojimochi. If you have seen Naruto, then you know that this is the curry that Rock Lee fell in love with when it saved him after being badly injured.
Similar to the way that people cook with sake or wine, you can cook with Umeshu to enhance and draw out new flavor profiles. It is actually encouraged; especially when it comes to making Japanese curry. Adding CHOYA to curry is a particularly great way to add depth to the roux and tenderize the meat to perfection.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup The CHOYA Golden Ume Fruit
- 1 Onion
- 1 Carrot
- 1 Potato
- 3 Ume Fruit from The CHOYA Golden Ume Fruit
- 3 Cherry Tomato
- 350g Beef (chuck steak)
- Vegetable Oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Ginger
- Garlic
- Tougarashi
- Tomato Paste
- 20 Dried Red Chili Peppers (adjust to preference)
- Rice
Adding CHOYA to curry also adds a layer of sweetness and tanginess which blends beautifully with the savory and spiciness of curry. To add even more richness, we highly recommend adding the Ume from the bottle into the curry while it is simmering.
